Does the length of the GPU matter?

The real question I have is whether or not a GTX 1070 will fit in my rig, namely the...

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 8GB G1 Gaming Video Card

Basically from a look inside my rig, there looks to be something at the end of the Motherboard that is sticking out a bit and I cannot tell if that would block a longer video card, it seems to be parallel with the existing one, but I just wanted to ask, will post an image soon.

Existing GPU is the AMD Radeon R7 360 2GB
Motherboard is the Gigabyte GA-970-Gaming SLI

@Wolfy_ - I see what you're getting at. It does appear that the SATA ports at the end of the board would inhibit the installation of a PCI-Ex16 graphics card longer than about 9", but that would be a serious design flam (in my opinion) and searching the web for any corroborating data is coming up empty.

Assuming you're not running into any case design issues as ThatVietGuy points out, you *should* be ok.

My only issue was with the section that "looked" as if it would be in the way of the graphics card, the case has more than enough space to fit the new GPU.

Thanks for the help!
