Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080 dedicated memory only 4096 MB

I recently bought an Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080 A8G Gaming GPU
its running well but something that concerns me is when i went into the properties it only shows 4096MB as dedicated memory. Is this normal?

Download GPU-Z and check your specs there:
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

If that says 8GB, you're fine. It's more accurate and a lot more in-depth for specs review.

It says 8Gb so i guess its fine?
