CPU issue or MB issue

I purchased an AMD processor (FX 8350) and a new motherboard (ASUS M5A97 R2.0) to update my current computer. About 6 months later my computer would not turn on, and after replacing parts I narrowed the issue down to my CPU or MB. I used factory heatsink and fan (which is probably my problem) and I do not overclock. I did a warranty claim on the CPU and received a new one in the mail. This CPU last about the same amount of time as the one before, and again I did a claim and received a new one. This time AMD sent me the processor and a new, larger heatsink and fan. (CPU ran about 15C colder with it) The most recent one (3rd CPU) lasted a total of 5 days. I am wondering if the MB could be causing the failures or if this particular CPU is just useless without a robust heatsink and fan/watercooler. Any advice would be very helpful.

Although better CPU cooler is advisable it can't be a reason for CPU failing as it has overheat protection that would slow it down or turn off. New cooler you received is probably new, Wraith cooler that should be much better and more than enough for standard running processor.
That leaves only 2 things, MB and PSU.

I do not believe its a PSU issue because I am still using the same one on my older MB and CPU. I'll look into getting the MB replaced and hopefully this resolves my issue. Thanks!
