Huge FPS drop when using Fraps SINCE I use a SSD

Hi all,

I create gaming videos for YouTube, and I've been doing that for a while now. I used to have 2 HDD's. The game was installed on one, while all Fraps recordings ended up on the other. I have a pretty good build so no problems at all. I always recorded in 60FPS and never felt any fps-drops.

I just installed a new 500GB SSD. The game is now installed on the SSD, while Fraps still records to the same HDD. For some reason I now experience HUGE fps drops only when I'm recording. How could this possibly happen? The only other difference between my old setup is that I'm now using Windows 10 instead of Windows 7.

Relevant Specs:
GPU: Geforce GTX 1070
CPU: Intel i7 - 6700K
RAM: 8GB
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB

Any help? Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: After checking out the task manager I noticed that the HDD Fraps uses reaches 100% while recording. As said, this is the same drive I used before the upgrade. How is this possible?

Ah, that could be it. Just started messing with OBS and got it all sorted out again. Thanks!
