Which graphics card?

Solution

Looks good. Inexpensive and you lose some clock speed due to the small design and thermal headroom, but should serve you well.

The Radeon 7700 isn't a graphics card, rather a family of GPUs (ie 7770,7750, etc.)

I'd recommend the r7 370 over any Radeon 7700 series GPU imho unless you can get a very high end 7700 series GPU for dirt cheap.

Also, take a look at the newer 460.

An HD7700 is the series of cards (ie 77XX, there is no 7700). The best 77XX series card was a 7790 - which is somewhat comparable to cards in the 'entry level' category of the prior generation (GTX 750 etc). The R7 370 is a quite a bit better than that - in the same range as a GTX950 (although not quite as good as a 950).

really depends on which HD card you have to compare it to as far as "hpow much" better. Either a decent amount (7790 vs R7 370) to not even in the same ballpark (370 vs 7730)
