I'm building a gaming PC for my brother

Honestly i'd rather see you go to the used market for a build like this.

A 750 TI in a computer you're building today is... I just don't think it is worth the money. Spending $500 today for a new computer with parts that are 3 years old is rough.

It will perform about on par with a $600 laptop. We have come a long way in the past 3 years.

A $500 desktop getting beat by a $600 laptop is a glaring sign of its age.

The i3 is easily the better gaming cpu and the RX 480 is much faster than a 750Ti.

The i3 6100 is a much better gaming processor than the FX any FX.
More what I would build 20 bucks cheaper out of pocked and more with the rebates thsn the above build. Single stick of memory to have room to upgrade to 16gb later.

Will still have to wait for more details on it tough.

Why exactly should he wait for a CPU that will be out of the budget unless he gets a much weaker gpu?

Given that it's estimated to be $150-$180 and will require a more expensive motherboard and an after market CPU cooler it's not going to belong in a $500 gaming rig.

Its hard to say what actual prices will be as its an interesting time as amd will also be releasing new CPUs and GPUs if hes in no rush i think waiting few months could be of benefit.
