Hi all,

PC specs in my sig!

I just got some more memory for my PC so all 4 slots are being used now. Ever since then when the fans on my Noctua C14 are high RPM it audibly and visibly vibrates quite a bit. I would say almost 5mm top and bottom by eye. I have stopped it for now by having it on fan control. Its not getting any hotter than it was before so the cooler is screwed in properly.

I have seen others with this problem with the Noctua C14. My guess it is because when there were only 2 sticks of ram there was more room for air to pass through and now with 4 sticks the air from the high pressure fans is being deflected back into the fan by the solid metal block that is 4 sticks of ram.

Is there any way around this so I can turn my fans up? I have seen plastic baffles used on some PSU fans to direct air away from certain components. Do you think that something like that could work in this case?

Its not the end of the world but I do like turning the fan up when I know it will be working hard for hours.

Any help appreciated, Cheers!
