Would a GTX 1060 fit in for maxed out 1080p gaming ?

Hi so here is my current rig:
Case: ATX Tower Case
CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20 GHz 3.20 GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Anniversary
OS: Windows 10
Current GPU: NVIDIA GTX 960 2GB

So I was looking to know if upgrading that to an NVIDIA GTX 1060 would be a good idea. Would the CPU bottleneck my GPU ? Would I have any issue with the rig ? Thanks for your answer

The old 960 is slower than the 1050ti so yes the 1060 is a good upgrade. Teh i5 is plenty fast enough for the 1060 and the Z97's PCIE slot is fine for the new card. The price in the US is above 200 so that links price is pretty good. This is the best price I can find on a 1060.

At today, perfect spot for 1080p 60hz. No bottlenecks with the i5 4460.

Nope, the GTX will be just fine with the i5-4460. The 1060 also demolishes 1440p gaming at high settings too, just an FYI. Have fun

may not max everything for yars but will be a solid upgrade. the 1060 is most of a 980 in performance which can easily handle 1080p gaming. especially if you go with a 6gb model and not a 3 gb model.

no bottlenecks to worry about as they should compliment themselves well. but a 6 gb 1060 would be a very nice upgrade over a 2 gb 960

Here is a video review of the GTX 1060 3GB and the 6GB as well as the Rx-470/480. As you can see, max settings is no problem with the GTX 1060 3GB. I have one in my old Xeon W3670 and play Doom4 at Ultra @ 1080p/60Hz maintaining over 100 fps. No, your i5 will not in any way bottle3nck that card.
