i have a secondary building, 150 feet from house. The house has cable and internet. I have coaxial cable run to the secondary building. whats the easiest way to get internet there without effecting the speed at the house?
there is only one way to do this without affecting the speed at the house. call your ISP and order internet service for the secondary building. you will have 2 accounts, 2 modems, 2 networks and unfortunately 2 bills.

Thanks for the response. How much will it effect the speed? And would puthing a second router out there be the solution?
How much will it effect the speed? really depends, how much bandwidth do you have to begin with? also depends on the activities of the users, streaming video and or downloading torrents for example use a lot of bandwidth.
the coax cable that you ran is kind of useless, if you want to put a second router over there / or any type of network equipment you will need CAT5 cable.
