When installed the SSD into the pc, is it okay if it does not fit in the hard drive slot? Can you just lay it on the slot (im not moving my pc around, ever)? I have Windows 10 pre-installed into my pc (I don't have the disk). So how do I transfer windows to the SSD?

Hey there.

You can check out this tutorial on how to migrate your OS over to an SSD: http://lifehacker.com/5837543/how-to-migrate-to-a-solid-state-drive-without-reinstalling-windows.

As for your other question, just make sure that it doesn't get in the way of anything else. Basically it would be nice if you can mount it to a slot, but if not, it's not that big of a deal. Unlike HDDs, SSDs do not have any moving parts so having the SSD connected is good enough. There's no risk of damaging it because of vibrations or placing it in a weird angle.

Hope that helps.

I've used double sided velcro to make my ssd a little more secure, it works just fine. No moving parts as said above but if you move your pc sometimes and want your ssd to stay put, stick velcro to any flat surface of the case where the sata cable can reach and the matching side to the ssd.
