Hey all,

About 10 months ago I bought and built a PC- it all went off without any issues. Recently, however, I relocated to the US from the UK, and for some reason my PC simply wont turn on. I double checked all of my cords, tried several cords to the outlet, but nothing works. My supply is the Corsair VS550.

Thank you.

Unlike most PSUs, the Corsair VS only can only run on 200-240V. Most quality PSUs automatically detect and can run on 100-240V and even lots of junky or older PSUs have a manual switch for the voltage. However, the older VS series does not and is unsuitable for US use.

If this is a gaming rig as opposed to an office rig, it's really no great loss.
