I have dual 4k montiors so want a decent graphics card with two DVI slots to use them both.
I havent upgraded the rest of my pc in a long time, below are my specs.
Im just wondering if i would need to upgrade my processor or motherboard? (i have no idea when i would need to upgrade my motherboard)
Really appreciate any advice,
Thank you.
CPU - Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67GHz
Motherboard - Alienware 04VWF2 (CPU 1)
Monitor - Acer B286HK (3840x2160@60Hz) x2
GPU - 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 (MSI)
GPU i want to buy is the GTX 1060 6GB - Thank you!

you need to upgrade the motherboard when you next upgrade the cpu. really only reason to do so.

the 1060 will easily push 2 4k screens but not in a gaming scenario. it will barely push a single 4k screen in games. so long as this is not your goal, then you should have no issues running your monitors on a 1060. be sure to grab a 6 gb version for the extra resources the monitors will want.

The main reason i want to upgrade is the fact that my GPU only has one DVI so can't properly use both monitors (the mouse lags using HDMI) - therefore upgrading GPU is a must.
Dont fancy spending too much money i mainly just want to be able to use both screens for internet etc - i play league but this isn't very demanding and i would only play games on a single screen.
So would this motherboard support this GPU is my main question i should have asked?
Thanks for the quick replies appreciate it!

gotcha. in that case, yes, the 1060 should be fine and it looks like the mobo has pcie 2.0 which should be good with the 1060

did a quick search on newegg and i think gigabyte might be the only brand that sells a 1060 with 2 dvi's.
