Hi

Recently I moved to the UK what ISP you recommend * Fibre Optic only;)
My priorities are :
1: Stable connection
2: Low Ping
3: Price :)
4: Download speed :)

My location Postal Code SO518ED

** Or what ISP avoid ;) ?

i was with bt since dial up internet days but recently got so fed up with the indian call centre i moved to plusnet

they are owned by bt any way but cheaper and havent had to speak to a call centre since

had a couple of issues they fixed them over live chat no need to even phone them

of course theres sky--if you have sky tv then should get a better deal on internet

talk talk never tried them but they used to have a bad rating--dont know if thats changed

also the mobile phone companies are into broadband now so may get a good deal from your mobile provider

I ordered broadband from Plusnet 29/11/2016 and still not have it I losing my patience.
Date:

29/11/2016 - First Payment ~150 * entire year prepayment to save money
7/12/2016 - Revived modem
4/1/2017 - I revived email about Line activation still no internet.
5/1/2017 waited 24H still notching :(

really sorry to hear that--especially after saying i hadnt had any major issues with them

mine was online the same day i received the router--though i didnt bother using it just put plusnets details into my bt home hub 5 instead

did they say why you are having a problem?

I would suggest cancelling Plustnet as soon as you can. Based on your postcode your're in a Virgin Media cabled area.

Virgin Media
Up to 200mb download and 20mb upload
Between 5-15ms ping depending on area
Between £30-£50

Plustnut/BT/Talktalk and all other ISP's that rely on a DSL line can only deliver maximum 17Mbps download for your postcode
