Hi will this Ram work in my system

Solution
Your motherboard is rated for DDR3 PC3-10600 1333MHz 240-pin DIMM.

This means that it was tested for 1333 MHz RAM - If you install 1600 MHz Ram it will downclock to 1333 MHz - or it might work at 1600. 1333 for sure; 1600 maybe.

Hi thanks for your replies I have some Kingston hyper x genesis atm running at 1600 mhz i think its overclocked though.. only 6gb and bf1 keeps crashing when theres loads going on or a load of really big explosions, when i ran task manager says ram was full so I need to upgrade..

Manufactured, but I have modded it. I have recently upgraded it not for the first time has a 960 Bloomfield oc at 3.7 ghz.

6gb of Kingston ddr3 ram. I have upgraded the psu a while back and also have now a gtx 1060... Temps are all fine... will run bf4 ultra fine, infact getting 70 fps @1080p on ultra in bf1 but the recommended minimum ram is 8gb... every now and again when theres alot going on it slows right down and sometimes comes back, but quite often will crash... task manager saying 5.8 gb used while playing bf1.. so I thought I should upgrade the ram? So is it better to get ddr 3 1333 and overclock it or get something faster?

I don't recommend overclocking memory. I recommend buying faster memory and then overclocking your memory controller.

Example: You want DDR3 1600MHz... Don't buy 1333MHz and attempt to OC to 1600MHz. Buy 1600MHz and OC to 1600MHz through BIOS (your memory controller will default to 1333MHz).

I'd go with 1600MHz. I've seen a lot of LGA 1366 boards suffer no POST errors after swapping to memory above 1600MHz. Not to mention that you'll find much tighter timings on many DDR3 1600MHz kits.

Compare my recommended DDR3 1600MHz kits. Sorry they're all blue, that seems to be the color for good quality DIMMS with short timings and reasonable prices.

This is excellent RAM - working flawlessly in my desktop for over three years.

One caveat - The heat spreaders are tall - Make sure you have enough clearance under the CPU heatsink especially in the slot closest to the CPU.

I have the Hyper 212 EVO and my solution was to carefully grind off about 10 mm from the bottom portion of the heatsink fan so that the RAM can clear it (I don't like the idea of raising the fan away from the CPU - the fan must be as close to the CPU as possible).
