VERY high end gaming laptop not running games well.

here are my specs for this laptop.

Toshiba qosmio x875
intel core i7 3610qm
gtx 670m graphics.
12gbs of ram.
this laptop usually goes for about 1700 dollars and mine can only run overwath at 50fps at the lowest of the low settings, i even had to put the render scaling down to 50% please help.

It may have went for that price at one point, but it's old hardware now. The CPU isn't bad, but the GPU is a bit lacking.

The thing to check for though is to make sure the power profile isn't limiting your CPU. Are you running on battery? Also, since it's an older laptop, if it's full of dog or cat hair, it could be overheating and throttling the speeds down as well.

First thing to do would be to install somehting like MSI afterburner so you can check in game the CPU speed, temps, GPU speed, temps, etc. I was getting kind of crappy rates in overwatch and after using MSI afterburner, I noticed my GPU was downclocking it's speed from 1050mhz to 450mhz because the thermal paste had worn off and it was overheating.
