Two wifi boosters creating interference with each other?

Me and my Dad both have wifi boosters that we use to connect to ethernet (i.e. we don't use wifi at all). By the nature of wifi boosters they connect to the router etc. Recently we got a new router and I reconnected each of our boosters to the router. Up to this point there had been no problem whatsoever and, after the new router installation there was still no problem. It has only been recently that any problem has arisen. I booted up my PC today and the internet was incredibly slow and then proceeded to disconnect and reconnect in a rubber band like fashion. Each time I would only remain connected to the internet for a brief period of time before being disconnected. After resetting the router and my wifi booster several times and running diagnostic checks on my hardware and software the internet appeared to return to normal (Though I doubt it was in relation to my tinkering, it seemed to do it independently). After the internet on my PC returned to normal, my Dad then complained about the same problems on his PC. Is it possible that the two wifi boosters we're both connected to are competing with each other, or is it a problem with connection to the router?
