My Konica Minolta Biz Hubs and some other devices will not connect to my new switch (D-Link DGS-1210-52) but will work on the same network on the old switch (Dell Power Connect 3548) if I up-link it to the new.

I don't know what is this?

and some other devices
Not helpful, what other? be specific.

ethernet switches are about the most transparent boxes and not a whole lot of thing can break them. Is one of this boxes a managed switch? Are you doing fancy stuff like VLAN, filtering?

I up-link it to the new.
Don't know what this means either. Are you cascading two switches? (nothing wrong with that).

Konica Minolta Bizhub is a series or network capable Multi Function copier machine I have C554. C654 and C754 models all less then 6 years old, all with 1g network card built in. http://kmbs.konicaminolta.us/kmbs/technology/multifunction/color-multi-function/bizhub-c754e...............

Common network devices that would include desktop PC's, laptops, personal MFP devices mostly Brother brand and one Kodak scanner.

All of these devices connected and worked on the old Dell, when I replaced it with the new D-Link, the above devices did not work!

They do however work when I plug them into the old Dell switch and (uplink https://www.lifewire.com/what-is-an-uplink-port-817724) take a 1g Ethernet port from the old Dell and plug it into a 1G port in the new D-Link they will work and see the whole network. This is only for about 6 devices...

Any questions?

You have quite expensive piece of equipment, and if you are so desperate on getting answers, you better contact DLink support.
There's a chance some of your devices cannot negotiate gigabit connection with the router, and they fail to negotiate to slower. I had this quite a while ago while trying to connect Dell desktop to Netgear router.

I went to D-Link after the initial insulation, after trouble shooting they sent me a new switch, same problem! The Dell has 2 gig ports and I use one for the uplink, that leaves one available. All of the devices that will not work on the D-Link will work on the Dell in any of the 10/100 ports and the spare gig port....:( So now I just run the two switches, not the original plan, it does however work...
