Today i changed from ati to nvidia Asus gtx 1060 dual oc. With my previous card (7870 flex) i had 3 monitors in eyefinity mode, a fourth monitor in extended mode and i had enabled the onboard gpu for a fifth monitor.

Saddly i realised today that nvidia as soon as you enable surround mode deactivates the onboard gpu. I may have somewhere in the house an old 5570 ati. Can i install it to my pc and connect there the fifth monitor or nvidia deactivates any other cards found in the system?

Yes you can have 2 totally differnt cards, just make your defalt one in the bios/uefi your 1060. You can run games across multiple monitors on different cards, or sli them together, but it will give you the more video outputs you want.
