I'm buying a PC through cyberpower and would really appreciate a lookover. I know I could save money by making my own but I don't mind paying a little extra for some added convenience. Also I'm slightly confused about the GPU. http://m.imgur.com/a/ReMFN these were the options I was given, if I'm not mistaken I'm getting the Nvidia 1070 reference card? Thank you!

This right here is one of the reasons why I wouldn't touch Cyberpower with a 10 foot pole. This is a million times better for the exact same price and you don't have to deal with Cyberpower:

Looks good, but I would get the Intel core i5-6600 instead of the 6600k because its a waste of money to get the k since you arent overclocking.

Other than that, this will be a high-end computer that can run most games at 1080p

Thank you for the feedback! I was actually planning on looking into overclocking on my own so I can take advantage of the k and the liquid cooling.

Is the gtx 1070 the standard stock blower style cooler? If so switch it out with a card from msi, asus,... that feature a better and more silent cooler. Switch the 120 gb ssd for a 250gb ssd. Believe me 120gb gets full in no time even if you do your best to keep it empty.

The thing is the gtx 1070 was a free upgrade from a msi 1060 gamer x because of black friday, but the free upgrade didn't apply to msi 1070s or any other brand.. I figured that no matter what kind of 1070 it was it would be better than a 1060. Is the standard stock 1070 going to be an issue?

It just runs hotter and louder. Thats all. Just make sure you clean out your computer every year with some compressed air (DON'T USE A VACUUM CLEANER THAT KILLS YOUR PC due to generating static electricity) and you'll be fine.

Duly noted. Thank you for the help!

Don't make the vacuum mistake :p. If only you knew how many people I get coming to me saying their pc broke after cleaning it with a vacuum cleaner :p.

if you still get the 1070 for that price its a solid deal

you only need 1 fan in the front and 1 in the back(if you paid extra for more fans take them off)

get a 240/250 boot drive, you will thank me later(also you could throw a game on there for fast load times)
also try and get a samsung ssd if possible

get 2 8 sticks of ram instead of 4 4(upgrade in the future as well as runs cooler now)

Who in their right mind would clean a PC with their vacuum cleaner? And what does this have to do with anything said in the thread?

I looked for 2x8 ram but strangely and unfortunately there were no options on the website. Why is it that having 2x8 makes upgrading easier? Is it it because it would leave you with empty slots to insert into rather than you having to take ram out?
A lot of people have recommended I get a larger ssd. I had to place the order already because the free upgrade to 1070 was a limited time thing, but I'll definitely look into installing one myself.
I actually did pay extra for fans but it was only 9 dollars so I'm not too distressed, is it possible they'd help at all? Or would they just be unnecessary and loud.

Okay I think I've been convinced to build my own. The price for part difference is too significant and I suppose it'll be a good learning experience.

Sorry its not a reply i cant find it for some reason lol...

but anyways yes the ram leaves slots open so you can just throw more in if you would ever need it, and also it runs cooler.

since you are building yourself definitely get a 250 ssd now!

and as for fans since you are going a different route now you really only need one front and one back fan, along with a good cpu cooler. i personally love the hyper 212 its so cheap and performs awesome!

but if you need any help with part selection or building it let me know, p.m. me and ill help best i can.

You can get the hyper 212 instead of the cryorig as the hyper 212 is amazing for the money. Also if you want to save some money there is about 0% difference between an i5 6600k and i7 6700k.

wellllllllll if they want to stream/video edit/other stuff they might need an i7 but if its only a gaming/internet rig, save money and get the i5

No, stick with the Cryorig and the i7. If you want to do VR in the future having the i7 will be much better for that purpose. The Hyper 212 is very outdated, and Cyrorigs are much better fans. I replaced my last Hyper 212 Evo with a Cryorig H5 and the difference is night and day.

what do you mean outdated.....its heat pipes going away from the pc and air pushes the heat out.....air cooling has been the same way and will stay the same way forever.

It is outdated. Cryorig H7 is similar in price, shorter, and better. It fits in a far wider array of cases. Rajintek Aidos is a 92mm fan cooler and it can match the 212, as can the Cryorig M9i. The deepcool Gamaxx 400 is quite similar in performance, but is cheaper. The 212 isn't a horrible cooler, there are just better options for the money, now.
