Just got the Samsung 850 EVO 250gb. Whenever I try to boot m system off of it, it fails. I am using a SATA 3 cable and my motherboard does support SATA 3. Please help. Thanks.

Solution
the boot drive for windows is where the restore and system folders are. if there on the hard drive then the hard drive is the boot drive. to get the ssd to boot unplug the hard drive then reinstall windows. make sure on the reinstall you delete all of the partions. with the ssd having the right partions on it in the bios set the bios to boot from the ssd. when it does and there no errors plug the hard drive back in.

So what did you do to get the OS on the SSD to boot from it?
