Ping spike across al devices in my house (wired and wireless connection)

Solution
Speedtest will not be significantly affected by these relatively small variations in the latency. Even most web pages it will be undetectable.

Pretty much only games are affected by it because they can not use any of the tricks other applications use to hide it.

So first thing to do is run your ping to your router ip on a wired cable. This is to show the problem is not in your house.

Pretty much if this works it means there is some issue in the ISP network and all you can really do is try to identify it and hope the ISP will fix it for you.

Next run a tracert command to some ip. 8.8.8.8 tends to be a good one. You now want to run the ping command to the second hop ip in the trace if you can. This is the address the first...

Next run a tracert command to some ip. 8.8.8.8 tends to be a good one. You now want to run the ping command to the second hop ip in the trace if you can. This is the address the first ISP router. It generally represents the connection between your house and the isp. Some times issues with the wires coming to your house can cause increase in latency. The ISP generally can easily fix issues in this area.

If you see no issues in hop 1 and hop 2 then your house and the connection to your house is fine and the problem is farther into the network. You can ping ip farther into the trace but getting the ISP to fix these is not always simple. It can be that they have overloaded part of their network and have to upgrade something. It can also be not even in your ISP network it can be in another ISP so there is little you can do.
