Hi guys,
Recently I built myself my first pc using some old parts I had lying around. the problem is that when I turn on the pc, it gets to the bios screen where I can see the Asus Logo, the cpu fan begins to run a little louder (nothing dangerous I think) and then it restarts and the loop continues. Another thing that happens with this pc is that for some reason there will be no display unless there are 3 or more ram slots occupied. I tried using a kit of 3, it worked, but when I took out one it wouldn't boot. This happens with 3 random ram sticks as well, I put 4 sticks in, take one out and it works, but when there are only 2 sticks in it wont display anything. I dont know if the ram issue is related but Im fairly sure that the ram isn't the issue here as I tested out with different ram sticks and combinations. main issue here is the bios one though as the pc should still function fine with 3 - 4 ram sticks occupying the slots.
Specs:
Asus P7P55 LX (Mobo)
i5 570 (cpu)
Corsair TR3X6G1333C9 kit of 3 6gb (ram)
1gb HD 5850 & Random pcie gpu (Gpu both work)
LP-700AL2NH Thermaltake 700w (PSU)
