Hi all!

Some of my old pc parts died and now i need to buy new pc, or at least some new components and use old ones that still work.

What i need to buy 100% is:

1. Motherboard
2. Cpu (intel 100%)
3. Power Supply.

I plan to go for i5 6600 or lower end of i7.Would like to hear opinions.

Same for MB and power supply.I don't want expensive stuff but also not the cheap one.

Just to add that my old graphic card is nvidia 750.

Thanks a lot

I recently got an i5 6600k 3.5GHz, if you look at the comparisons online the i7 6700k 4.0GHz is around 30% more expensive and something like 8-10% faster in certian situations. So you're paying a premium for that extra power that you might not even use. I'll be using my rig for gaming, video editing and vitrualization. I'm sure the i5 will be plenty even without an overclock.

What do you plan to do with your computer and whats your budget for the new parts?

Well i play only World of Warcraft that went more than fine on my old i5 2500 k.Only thing that game needs is decent cpu.Rest is not that relevant but still i wouldn't like to take something that will be bottle neck of my PC.
My budget varies from 800-1300 eur, depending of how many of my old parts will i be able to use.
Only thing i suspect is also dead would be my 2x 8 gb ram sticks.

Speaking of it...would need a cpu cooler aswell.

If you're not into overclocking go with i5 6500+B150 motherboard. You'll save roughly around 25-30 USD in the CPU with very slight performance loss. Or if you love tweaking your CPU then go with the 6600k+Z170 mobo. Doesn't make much sense to buy the 6600. :)
For PSU anything above 600 watts (for over-clocking) or 600 watts will be plenty & go with brands like Corsair, Antec or Seasonic and invest a decent amount of money like 120-150 USD and get a good quality 80+ gold certified modular unit.
