I recently upgraded my GPU from a 270X to the RX 480. Everything went smoothly and the new card seemed fine.
I was testing it in some games and noticed everything was loading really slowly. Games like Rocket League would now stutter on the start up screen. Additionally, when starting a game within rocket league, it would lag for the first few seconds and then be a smooth ~180fps for the remaining game. The same thing happened in other games, DOOM and Battlefield 1.
To me this sounded like an issue loading the games data from the HDD to the RAM, however it seems like too much of a coincidence that this occurred after upgrading the GPU. Could that have caused this? Or are there any good tests I can run for this?
Thanks!
