Hey, i tried to overlock my i5-6600k. Maxiumum i tried was 4.6 GHz and 1.35V, but not stable ( OCCT, Prime95, AIDA64, Cinebench ).
Finally i used 4.2 GHz on 1.25V for a while and now im back to stock 3.9 GHz.
Now i feel like my PC works very slow and im getting freezes in game (CS:GO).
Somehow i could damage CPU or Memory with this OC? I used Profile 1 on memory - 3000MHz.
I thought it could be problem with SSD ( Goodram Iridium Pro ).
In benchmark i get:
-530 MB/s read speed
-Write speed results were very strange becasue at the beggining everything was ok - 520 MB/s, but suddenly it drop to like 20 MB/s and after 10 secs back to normal speed.
But does write speed affect to how fast my PC works?
What do you think is the problem CPU, Memory or SSD?
Maybe format will help here (SSD is in 80% busy)

Solution
Start fresh

    ■ Unplug power, remove motherboard battery, hold case's power button for 5 sec to wipe failed CMOS data, wait 15 min, hold case's power button for 5 sec again, wait another 15 min,
    ■ Reinstate battery, start, enter BIOS, set time and date,
    ■ Disable energy saving under ACPI usually label as EIST/C10, disable turbo boost, disable XMP (use SPD or auto)
    ■ Will be useful if we know your full specification of, motherboard with BIOS ver., PSU, CPU cooler, and how you get to 4.6GHz.
    ■ Save and exit BIOS
