Hi,

I am very new to PC building and I am currently going through all the stages to make sure my PC parts work and are compatible, Now i know that there is PC part picker but i just want to make sure. I am looking at the realtion to the case and the motherboard and on the motherboard (MSI H110m PRO VH) it has 2 USB 3.1 ports but on the top of the case (CIT F3 white mid tower) It has 1 USB 3.0. Do they work together or can they not slot in together? If someone could help that would be great. It says USB 3.1 on both the IO and the main thing.

Also the top of the case has a SD card reader and the Motherboard does not have a slot for that. Does it need one i could i just tuck it away in the case but won't be able to use the card reader?

Thanks

USB 3.1 Gen 1 is USB 3.0.
The case will connect to a USB 3.1 gen 1/usb 3.0 header on the motherboard. Read the motherboard's manual for more information on the location of that port.
Not particularly sure on what connection the sd card reader with your case, most likely usb 2.0. Your motherboard only has one usb 2.0 header which makes the 2 usb 2.0 on the case non-functional. So you would have to choose whether to keep the 2 usb 2.0 ports functional or only keep the sd card reader functional.

Yes a single usb 2.0 header will allow up to two usb 2.0 ports. But I pretty sure that the sd card reader will also require a usb 2.0 header which means you will have to choose between the 2 usb 2.0 ports or the sd card reader.
