Will my new RAM be compatible with my older one?

So, I'm planning to upgrade my old PC. Here's the specs:

It's an old machine, has 2 slots. DDR3.
It already has a 2gb ram installed:

I want to install another 4gb ram card with this. I know there's something called downclocking (Still don't understand how that works), but if I get a 4gb ram of the same speed(1333MHz), will it run as 6gb altogether, or will the PC use only 2gb of the new card, making the total only 4gb?
Here's the one I found: http://www.amazon.in/Transcend-1333MHz-DDR3-SDRAM-Desktop/dp/B002Z5AE0Y?tag=googinhydr18418-21&tag=googinkenshoo-21&ascsubtag=75cbb5de-c18f-4caa-9ce8-fafd22253eab

So will this work?

Any help appreciated
Thanks!

EDIT: The computer is 64 bit, Windows 10.

So I won't know till I actually install them together?

But what if I install only the 4gb card? Will my motherboard support that? Just in case the mix doesn't work. Better something than nothing, right?

That's alright. But I had one more question. Is it alright if I use ram of same speed and size, but of different brands?
