Big fps drops in games

Hello guys,

When i play BF1 or ryse: son of rome i get alot of fps drops during gameplay. I am trying to fix it for 6 months now and still i cant get an solution to fix it.

My specs:

GPU: Inno3d gtx 1060
CPU: AMD vishere FX-6300
Motherboard: Asrock
And 8Gb of RAM
550 W PSU

Is an upgrade to a FX-8350 an idea or more RAM, because everyone i ask says 8 Gb is enough and the CPU is fine also.

Well man you didnt knew that fx 6300 OC.ed can even bottleneck a GTX 970 and GTX 1060 is much powerful than a GTX 980 so Fps drops is a like hell for a gamer and is absolutely annoying so this is caused by BOTTLENECKING AND in your case its alot so i would recommend you to change Your AMD old lad to a newer one like fx 8350 .8GB ram is good only fewer titles utilize that much but for future proofing upgrade to 12 GB will a good idea but not for now.OR go for an intel I5 6500 OR 6600 for decent gaming (if you are not an AMD fanboy).

So upgrading my CPU will get rid of the fps drops?
Because a friend of me has an 970 with an FX 6300 and he can run BF1 on ultra the only different is that he ha an 650W PSU and 16GB of ram

Your friend has twice amount of ram than you BF1 is getting the benefit but Upgrading CPU will absolutely solve this problem .

But how is it possible that my friend can play BF1 on ultra with a 970 and fx 6300, and i cant even get steady 60 fps on low with a 1060 and a fx-6300

Maybe his fx 6300 is oced but the bottleneck is the fx 6300.
