USB boot possible on G43 express? (HP PRO 3010)

Good day all,

Now I know there are different possibilities in partitions (MBR, GPT) but the G43 express does not seem to react to any kind.

I have these possibilities with Rufus, and have accessed boot-prior menu at all time to check if my bootable device would show up. No luck of the matter so far.

Is it even possible to install through USB boot on this machine?

And if not: the size of the install is 5.7GB so a disk would not forfill either.


Any help would be appreciated

The USB is not available to be selected as primary boot device. The USB is not in the list at all, no matter what partition option I choose with Rufus.

Yes, this unfortunatly appears my only option (or finding an empty HDD to put the boot files on them)

Is it true is does not read double layer DVD's? I need to burn 5.7 GB on a disk, requires a double layered disk but the installation failed so far. I will try tomorrow.
