Hello friends i've read many threads but still confused. My dell xps 720 h2c died. In my country xeon systems are cheap my friend is giving me dell t7400 with double quad core processor 3.0 ghz e5450 with 16 gigs of ram. In 70$. I have nvidia gtx 650 ti 2 gb graphics card and 4x1 tb hards. I play new games on high graphics and use pc for downloading and watching movies. So will this pc work for me? Will it give me good graphics? Or should i get another one? ( i have cpu or dell core 2 extreme 2.9ghz should i buy mb for this cpu? It was giving me good fps in games)

Well by the passmarks is about the same speed as an older i3

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Xeon+E5450+%40+3.00GHz

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i3-3220+@+3.30GHz

If that is indeed the CPU your talking about it was release over 7 years ago, and it about as fast as an i3 from about 4 years ago.

However that CPU still seems to be better than you old dell

so for $70 is should be as good or better than your "old" PC. It could even perform better if there was any sort of cpu bottleneck (maybe not with the game but back ground processes).

If you are asking about core 2 extreme cpu from my dead xps its a quad core qx6800 processor. And if xeon is also quad core processor and its dual processor mean it have 8 cores total.
