FM2 gaming processor

Hi! I just purchased an oculus rift and it's running really choppy, as I don't meet the CPU requirements. I wanted to upgrade to an I7 intel, but I don't think that will fit in my FM2 socket? I'm not too tech savvy and from what I can gather, i need an AMD processor but I can't find the requirements are for AMD and the rift. The processor I have currently is what came with the computer 4 years ago when I bought it. What is a good gaming processor for an FM2 socket?

Here is the list of CPUs that manufacturer says are supported -- https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/F2A85M/HelpDesk_CPU/
The interesting thing is that NONE of the non-graphics CPUs are listed.
The A10-6800K is the fastest CPU listed on the supported list. Make sure you do a BIOS update before doing your CPU swap.

I have f2a85-m/cm1745/dp_mb motherboard, and i just purchased a Geforce GTX 1050 video card that works well with it.
