Does my Motherboard support DDR4?

Hi everone,

I have this motherboard:

And it says it supports 2400Mhz ram but does that mean it supports DDR4? Doesnt DDR4 just mean higher speed starting at 2400Mhz?

Because I'm planning on upgrading my ram and I have the option of:

CRUCIAL Ballistix Sport LT Kit 16GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM (89€)

or

Corsair Vengeance Black 16GB Kit DDR3 1600Mhz (83€)

Nope, just DDR3. Theoretically it can support DDR3 overclocked to 2400.

It says right in the specifications that it supports DDR3 RAM. I just went to your link and looked for 5 seconds.

No, it only supports DDR3. Says so in the specs link you posted. DDR4 is not just fast DDR3, its different tech with a different key.

I know it says in the specs, that it supports DDR3! I was just wondering if it supported DDR4 as well because of the 2400Mhz speed.
I guess speed doesnt say if it supports DDR4 or DDR3> only...

I wasnt aware of all the features of DDR4.
