I am looking to upgrade from an AMD r9 390. I bought it knowing I was wanting to upgrade but still it is a lot of money lol. Which one is good under $450.
Is it a good upgrade and also would the 1070 be any help at all towards programming and game design(3D modeling). I am going to go to college next year for computer science and I honestly have forgotten any benefits a graphics card could give towards that field if any at all. Mainly asking because getting a 1080 is not 100% out of line, i'd just have to wait longer to get some more money and if that would actually provide a benefit then I would wait.
Also just a side questions, on newegg what the heck is up with all the price differences... Like I see a 1070 for a $920...
