Hi, I just finished my 1st build. My rig consists of:
Corsair Carbide Air 540
Corsair H100i V2 water-cooler
Corsair RM750 PSU
Asus X99 Deluxe II
Corsair DDR4 32G Dominator Platinum
i7 6800k 3.6, O/C to 4.0
Samsung 950 Pro 500gig in M.2 - Windows 10 64bit

This is my primary rig and I use it often for Photoshop and Premiere Pro CC. As a temporary solution, I have a spare EVO 850 250 gig SSD connected to a SATA6 port on the X99 for my Adobe scratch, rendering, and encoding drive; my operating system and Adobe programs are on the 950 Pro in the X99's only dedicated M.2 port (PCIe).

I want to set up the scratch disc to be the best possible throughput with the least amount of bottleneck for read/write. My options are either utilizing the U.2 port(s), use the Hyper M.2 card, or a pair of SSD's in RAID on SATA6. Any ideas?

Thanks!
Matt

Solution
using SSD's in RAID isn't a great idea because of TRIM. I think Intel SATA contorllers support TRIM in a RAID0 and that is it. If you have an extra one though and running a RAID 0 will give you the best performance.
