Solution Rogue Leader Nov 30, 2016 Rogue Leader : No we are not seeing DDR3 becoming a speed limitation. In fact the fastest DDR3 is as fast as most fast DDR4. Isnt ddr4 able to send double information ? No. 4 vs 3 is basically like a generation number. Heres some benchmarks: http://www.anandtech.com/show/8959/ddr4-haswell-e-scaling-review-2133-to-3200-with-gskill-corsair-adata-and-crucial/8 Even though the clock rate is higher the latency is much worse, meaning performance wise they are nearly the same.

Would you be able to suggest some better ram for my 4790k build i currently have 16gb 2133 gskill trident ? Upvote 0 Downvote
