Hi guys

GA-970-GAMING or GA-970A-UD3P?

Which board is the better and why? I dont plan overclocking, just 1080p gameplay (single GPU).

Here in my country the "Gaming" version is a bit expensive.

Any other recommendations?

Best regards!!

Well, I'd encourage you to switch to an Intel build if you can, otherwise you're putting money into a dead socket. If you really have to choose between those two motherboards then go for the cheaper one. There's no worthwhile distinction.

What if I move to an Intel build?
I5 6400?

To get the most out of your GPU you would need to overclock that 8350 which requires a decent motherboard, cooler and PSU. The i5 6500 or even 4690 (this allows you to reuse your DDR3 RAM but means no future upgrade options) would be perfect for that GPU.

This is my current system

FX-8350
GA-970A-UD3 [DEAD]
8Gb DDR3 1600 Corsair
PSU Seasonic 620W
HAF 922 + 01 200mm frontal fan + 01 120mm rear fan
CPU fan Hyper 212X

I'd replace it for this:

I5-6500
ASUS B150M-C/BR
HYPERX FURY 8Gb DDR4 (2X4)

What do you think?

I just want a good system for 1080p gameplay + high (or ultra) settings ;)

Should I use the i5 stock fan, itsnt?
