Please Help Me!! Bent USB 3.0 ID Pin!!

Hi guys im am kinda freaking out right now!! Lol. I just pulled the USB 3.0 connecter out of the port on the motherboard and I noticed that the ID Pin is completely bent. Will it still work with the pin bent or will I have to fix it?? HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

It needs to be unbent.
Can you unbend it without breaking it?

Its not on the external of the PC its in the internal 20 pin connector. Its the ID pin. http://

Then you're pretty screwed.
If it is as badly bent as you indicate, the whole connector won't seat properly.

Actually, I think that pin isn't important. It's solely a locator pin so that you cannot insert the connector the wrong way round.

Nonetheless, you won't be able to plug it in properly with it bent.

Well its fully plugged in and all my USB 3.0 ports still work normally so im all good! Thanks guys

Yeah that's what mine looks like but the ID pin id bent. The mobo is the Gigabyte GA-B85-HD3. Will It still work without that pin? And what is that pin used for?? Help

the ID pin is mainly used for signaling the SS (Super speed) so as the device knows that it is a USB high speed capable device, without it, you will essentially be in USB 2 mode.
