I have an Asus G10AJ-US010S, and I'm trying to figure out if I would be able to replace the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 with a EVGA GeForce GTX 1080, but I'm not exactly sure it would fit and/ or be compatible with the desktop. Any way I can go about solving this?

If you motherboard has a functioning PCI-E x16 slot, then it will be compatible with the computer provided the right drivers. The only reason the card wouldn't fit is if the case is too small for it. It shouldn't really be a problem for you because the evga 1080 is only 1-2 cm bigger than the 970.

You can use a ruler and measure from the start of the PCI-E slot all the way to the first end of the case. Then you can search the GPU specs that you wanna buy and it will write somewhere the diameters!
