Hey guys,

I have one machine with windows 10. I shared a folder from this machine to 3 other (windows 7) machines. However, I cannot access the shared folder from any of the other Machines.

An error pops up that says:
Windows cannot access \\PCNAME\FOLDER.
You do not have Permission to access \\PCNAME\FOLDER. Contact your network administrator to request access.

I obviously have no clue what I am doing and would really appreciate some help after all day googling, and even being denied support by Microsoft.

Solution
It says in the error message - these other machines do not have right to access this folder.
The easiest way to fix that is to include all these computers in single HomeGroup - eg create it on Win10, and join Win7 PCs to it.
More complicated: Create user accounts with same user name / password as the users are logging in on Win7 computers, and give these accounts rights over the share.
