GPU: GTX 780 Phantom GLH
CPU: Intel i5-4690
Mobo: ASRock Fatal1ty H97 Performance

Hi, I get really low fps in games, eg. 15 fps in guild wars 2 with max graphics settings or 25 fps with minimum settings. I've updated drivers. I've also set power management mode to maximum performance in nvidia control panel. In geforce experience I've also tried going with the optimised game profiles. None of this has helped at all. What should I try next? Thanks.

How old is your GPU? Did you notice this change after installing newer drivers? Try rolling your drivers back about 6 months prior and see if that helps, sometimes newer drivers for older cards hinder them.

Thanks for your replies Belphegore. I believe I've fixed this issue. My cpu was overheating even while idling as the cooler wasn't seated 100% correctly. Must've knocked or moved the case some time. Took the cooler off, applied some new thermal paste, put the cooler back on correctly and i'm getting much more solid fps.

EDIT: Not too sure how to mark this thread as solved?
