I have a 5 1/2 year old desktop PC with i7 2600 non k version an Intel motherboard , 8 gigs of DDR 3 memory . I would like to keep the i7 2600 and replace everything else new motherboard as all my USB 3.0 ports don't work anymore , add faster ram and add a new EVGA gtx 1060 or xfx Rx 480 . My i7 has a 1155 socket please pick the appropriate parts for my new awesome gaming PC .

Solution
Since the i7 2600 is still a good cpu, it's really hard to find a motherboard for it, you'll have to look for a second hand one, because if you find a new one it is going to be very expensive.
Processor is still ok
GTX1060 or RX480 is a good choice
Faster RAM brings nothing, more RAM is better.
For mobo...hmmm..this could be tricky...beside looking for used items on eBay, new 1155 mobos are hard to find and should be extremely expensive.

Lets do it this way. Before you buy the extra RAM capacity or new GPU or whatever...try finding the replacement mobo first.
If you can find it with reasonable price, you can carry on your plan.
If not, upgrading the proc, mobo and RAM to Skylake is perhaps the better idea.
If you go for second-handed, make sure it works flawlessly before you buy other items.
