Slow download speeds on PC (Other devices on same network are fine.)

Hey folks,

I have an NBN connection with iiNet at home and I recently upgraded my plan from 25Mbps to 100Mbps. Before upgrading I would usually get a download speed of anywhere between 2-3MB/s which is pretty accurate for a 25Mbps connection so I was happy with that.

Since upgrading to the new speed, every device in my house (except the PC) has started reflecting the new speeds. I've ran speed tests on my phone, my PS4, my girlfriends phone, and her laptop (all of which are connected wirelessly) and they have all tested fine (~70-90Mbps.)

My PC however, which I normally use a wired connection for, is still showing ~25Mbps whenever I do a speed test. I did also test a wireless connection using a Wifi USB adapter and that too only shows a ~25Mbps speed. It would appear something on my computer is limiting my bandwidth.

I've done some Google'ing and found other people with the same issue who have been able to isolate the software or program which was causing the slowdown, but haven't been able to fix it myself following these steps.

It is not a distance issue, because I can run a speed test on my phone sitting right next to the computer and get ~70-90Mbps.

It is not a router issue because as I mentioned, all other devices that connect wirelessly are reflecting the new speed.

I have the latest LAN motherboard drivers installed. I have the latest router firmware installed.

I am 99% sure it is something on my computer that is limiting the speed, or perhaps a setting I need to change in my router or LAN settings on the computer and I'm looking for any suggestions to help me find what that is.

The router is a Technicolour TGIINet-1.
The ISP is iiNet (Australia.)
The connection is NBN.

Cheers.
