Hello!
I am planning to buy a new PC and i want to avoid any big mistakes. I have tried to browse the internet myself to find the answers for my problems but i could not really find any specific answers so im asking here because this community seems very helpful and i have learned quite a lot by just browsing the forums.
So my future PCs specs looks like this:
CPU: Core2 Quad Q8200 4x2330MHz (s775)
Video Card: ATI HD6450 1GB PCI-e
Motherboard: Intel DG41TY (s775)
RAM: 4GB DDR2
Now i understand that this PC is pretty much a midfield computer but im aiming at relatively older games at the moment (2010-11'ish) and i hope it will do the job. However in the future i am planning to upgrade it with a modern video card and my worry here is that: 1. the motherboard might not be able to take the video card? (I am considering a Geforce GTX 660/650 or a Radeon 7750/7870) 2. The RAM. It is equipped with DDR2 memory and im assuming its because it cannot take DDR3. Will i have any disadvantage because of using DDR2 memory? (im thinking about mostly not being able to upgrade the PC because of it)
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my questions and im sorry about my bad english, unfortunately its not my first language.

Spending money on that setup would be a waste. You can find used i3 an i5 systems in the $150-200 range. Buying a system with an 8 year old CPU and RAM two generations behind current spec, no matter how cheap, is wasted money. Unless you are just going to be using it for watching movies or web browsing.

Right now in my area there are about 10 computers with i3 CPUs for 120-250, some are even in a gaming case with decent power supply. A few i5 systems from $100-350 also.
