Asus Z170-A won't boot at all

I recently put together a build with an Asus Z170-A, 6700k, and 8GB of DDR4-2400 Corsair LPX.

After I got it all setup in the case and all the wiring done, I plugged in the PSU and flipped the switch. I saw the little green LED on the motherboard turn on so the motherboard was infact getting power. When I pressed the case button, nothing happened. I then went ahead and pressed the power switch on the actual motherboard and still nothing happened.

I re-seated the CPU, unplugged and plugged in the 6 & 24 pin connectors and still the same issue.
My PSU is a 630w Rosewill 80+ bronze, which does in-fact work. After I couldn't get the new mobo/cpu/ram to work, I put together my old z97 again in the same case with the same power supply and it boots fine. Any thoughts on what it could be?

Solution
With board outside the case, leave only the 24 pin power cable and a case fan connected, start the board and see if the case fan does spin.
