do i need a dedicated soundcard for thehyperx cloud 1?
I want a good headset for gaming( around 100$)
motherboard:ASRock B85M Pro3

Sure. You'll See an improvmemt. But a good sound card is around 70-120$ and the improvements won't really justify that while a cheap low end soundcard won't make a difference

Best thing is to just test it. If you don't like the sound quality get a sound card.

Usually the Mainboard Codec is still sufficient as the headphones are the more limiting factor anyway.
Those are solid headphones go for it.

If we were talking about 250$ Sennheisers or AKGs things look different but in your case they are quite alright.
