Asus Z97-K with a 10-series GTX graphic card?

Short question that might need a longer answer:

Does my Asus Z97-K motherboard support newer graphic cards like 1060 or better?

I'm rocking with a GTX 780 for the moment and was looking to see if I need to replace my motherboard anytime soon.

Your motherboard will have a PCIe slot, aka PCIe 3.0 x16, which runs your current GPU, and that is easily replacable by a 10-series GPU, all you'll need is a graphic driver reinstallation, and depending on which 10-series GPU you purchase, you may need external power in addition to the PCIe providing 75W.
