How many time will i3 take to render a 1080p video withou color corection(only cuts and voice overs) in Filmora. My gpu will be an rx 480(i dont have this build yet). And with i7 6700k? Video time: around 20 minutes. THanks

Not all video editing software is the same. Handbrake doesn't work exactly the same way as Sony Vegas and which version? Your comparison of the imac to pc is pointless since you're comparing two different video programs on two different systems with two different processors with two different clock speeds.

That's like racing a ferrari against a dump truck but the ferrari's on a paved race track and the dump truck is on a winding dirt mountain road. Why do they finish the race at different times? My bet is that if using a 3rd entirely different processor with different amounts of ram in linux with an entirely different editing program I'd come up with a 3rd variation of editing time and it wouldn't match either of those times you're...

Depends on which model of i3 you go for. Either way it would be longer than with an i7 which has more threads and typically a higher clock speed so can render the video faster.
There are still too many variables to give you an estimate on how much time it would actually take to render but either way would take in comparison to an i3

When i try to render at the same quality in a mac(imovie) and in a pc(filmora) the mac gets 10 min with a 2nd gen 2.5ghz mobile i5 and the pc with i5 4h gen 1.7ghz mobile gets 40min. Is this a optimization question? Does the gpu makes the differerence(mac - ati idk the number 512 mb vram and pc nvidea 820m)?

forgot the part of 6100. i3 6100. sorry

It could be a GPU thing, however, even though the gen is lower, the speed is still a bit faster. Also, Mac was made for optimization.

Unless someone has actually done with you want, nobody can give you an accurate answer. All we can do is guess.

It's not just the resolution of the video that matters, it's the bit rate, not to mention the audio quality (assuming there is audio). If Filmora can use the GPU in conjunction with the CPU then that'll help rendering times, but again, buy how much is anyone's guess.

This is for 4th gen but might give at least a starting reference point. When encoding h.265 in handbrake the i3 4330 took 14.2 minutes and the i7 4790k took 6 minutes. Less than half the time. This is using handbrake though and the program used, setting used etc will all have an impact. This difference is only applicable to using handbrake with the settings TH used in this particular test with this particular video file.
