Best advice for overclocking is to not use automatic software tools.

For the CPU you will want to make all your changes in the BIOS. For GPUs you can use software to adjust clock/memory frequencies, and change power settings. But you should still be the one in control.

Don't just crank it up and expect results. It is a balance of input voltage, cooling, and frequency.

If it is crashing:
The temperature was too high.
The voltage too low for the desired frequency
The frequency too high for the voltage.

What games? What resolution?

FX-8350 wouldn't have been most people's first choice lately since it is relatively slow when it comes to single core performance.

Neither would a GTX970, unless on sale for a very good price. RX470 is about on par with it, RX480 is a good deal faster, and GTX1060 is far superior.

Basically you've built a mid-range rig and you may need to reduce screen resolution or settings to achieve 60FPS. On some later games you will not be able to get higher minimums due to engine limitations with your processor.

Some games should run very well if they can take advantage of all 8 cores, but most games are built around a single master thread that needs fast single core performance.

I took the FX-8350 for the price and because i bought my graphic card too early and it was only compatible AMD and i dont really know about them. I got my GPU in sale and i was pretty hyped about it since ive only seen good reviews on NCIX and PCPartPicker. I can run Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege at 60+ fps only on High/Very-High graphics witch i think is fine but all my other games are aving trouble running even tho i use the optimal settings from GeForce Experience who always try to put them higher than i can run them :(

It is a nice motherboard for an AMD build, that is for sure. You should be good for a mild overclock with that CPU cooler. Something like 4.5 GHz should be feasible. That will improve your minimum frame rates a little in some games.

GPU incompatibility isn't really a thing if that is what you meant (Though I think you meant to type motherboard rather than graphics card). They'll slot into anything that has a PCIe x16 slot and work. You can mix Intel CPUs with AMD GPUs or AMD GPUs with Nvidia GPUs as you have done.

Do you have any good CPU overclock software for that because i used AMD overdrive and OC my CPU up to 4.5 GHz and didn't get any change in performance what so ever and i got a black screen after that. Tried to OC my GPU with the provided software wich is OC Guru for Gigabyte GC and got another blackscreen after a couple of minutes playing Borderlands 2 without any change in performance... I'm starting to think i didn't build my computer correctly wich is getting on my nerve :/ PS if you have any tips on overclocking ill take any
