How to provide internet access to my desktop through my laptop wifi?

I am waiting for my desktop wifi card to arrive, but meanwhile i need internet access on it.
My laptop is using wifi and i have an ethernet cable.

I have tried to bridge connection on my laptop with Wifi and ethernet and connect to desktop. Desktop says no internet access even after

Any ideas?

Well if you can find a Computer / Electronic store with a cross-over cable (not a regular Ethernet) then they would have a USB to Wifi, which would be cheaper in some cases than a cross-over cable. Then you won't need to try messing with sharing, which is half the speed of the Wifi, and then further, the laptop has to be on the entire time to allow the desktop to connect. As I said, alot eaier just BUY a USB WIFI one.

I have tried this, i am running windows 10 and it is not working for me.

I've ordered one online, there is no Walmart in the UK. Just needed connection now so trying to see if I can get some meanwhile
