Hello, today i had received my Crucial MX300 750GB SSD, now i just have a few questions about cloning my current hard drive to the new SSD. the first question is that as that i had also received a copy of Acronis True Image 2015 with the SSD, can i clone my current 2TB hard drive to the 750GB SSD as that i have only used 600GB out of the 2TB on my current drive? (this includes the OS, all files and all programs. The second question is that can i use Acronis True Image 2015 to also wipe my current 2TB hard drive after the cloning is complete?. thank you very much for your time and help, any response will be greatly appreciated as that this is my first time getting an SSD and cloning a hard drive.

Solution
yes. As long as the space used on the current drive is less than the space available on the new drive you can always clone it over. The cloning will clone everything from Windows to your pron folder.

I don't know if Acronis has a wipe feature or not. You can always reformat the old drive from Windows itself though if you want, though its not a total wipe so someone who really knows what they're doing can retrieve info from that.
